In Philly, there is a deep history of hip hop, as Philadelphia produced one of hip hop’s first successful rapper-turned-actors. The years since then have consistently seen Philly dominate rap. Recently, the city went through a resurgence, courtesy of some big names.
Shawn Archer isn’t a newcomer, he is actually a veteran on the scene, in Philadelphia. Over the years, Shawn Archer has consistently put in work. Now, with 2019 here, it looks like he is in for a career year, with his “Catchin Feelings” single getting a lot of circulation.
The city of Philadelphia does boast a lot of traffic, both on the mainstream and local level. But, Shawn Archer is a proven talent who does make good music. As he intends to flood the year with new music, he might be able to enter that “King of Philly” debate.
