Because of all the alleged tension behind the scenes with “Motorsport,” fans didn’t expect Nicki Minaj to do the video. The early video clips only showed Cardi B. But, when “Motorsport” premiered, everybody was accounted for, granted in different scenes.
Migos have been underrated, but have low-key had more success than most of 2017’s most-mentioned artists. The first Billboard number one hit of 2017 belonged to the Atlanta trio. They dominated the winter, spring, and fall, giving the summer to the others.
On top of everything else, Migos were the ones to get Cardi B and Nicki Minaj on the same song. At the time, rap fans were excited about Remy Ma and Lil’ Kim linking up, but “Motorsport” overshadowed that, without even trying. On top of everything else, they made a dope video, which helped “Motorsport” become the Video of the Week.
