No joke, DJ Khaled has changed… a lot, because he reinvented the posse cut, when he first made his major debut. Early on, many of his big records featured Plies, Fat Joe, Lil Wayne, and Rick Ross. Always loving the support, Khaled had goals of getting Jay Z and Eminem.
However, the magic he has made with Jay Z, Drake, and Chris Brown more than makes up for the lack of Eminem features. DJ Khaled began adding tons more features to his songs in 2014. This is yet another gamble that has paid off.
Everything about his “Do You Mind” music video has paid off. Since it premiered, following the 2016 BET Hip Hop Awards, DJ Khaled has been winning, as former label-mate, Nicki Minaj, stole the show. Cementing his journey from being the former director for Def Jam South to his own partnership with Epic Records, Khaled takes Video of the Week, again, for this visual, featuring Chris Brown, Jeremih, August Alsina, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, and Future.
Shout out one of the original Miss Too Hot For TV ladies, Bernice Burgos, in the cameo.
