The 63rd annual GRAMMYs were originally supposed to take place in late January but due to COVID-19 concerns in Los Angeles, that was postponed. The new date ended up being set for March 14 as now, the situation in LA has become much better. Yet, there will sadly still be no audience present. There’s a week left until the awards show and now, the full list of performers has been revealed.
According to Chart Data, hip-hop will definitely be represented heavily at the GRAMMYs. Some of the performers from the genre include Lil Baby, DaBaby, Cardi B, Roddy Ricch, Megan Thee Stallion, and Post Malone. Some of the biggest pop and international stars that will take the stage are Doja Cat, BTS, BIllie Eilish, Bad Bunny, and more.
The hip-hop artists here definitely had an epic 2020. Lil Baby saw him get a No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with “My Turn” which is 2x platinum now, DaBaby went No. 1 with his “Blame It On Baby” album and had a No. 1 record in “Rockstar” feat. Roddy Ricch, and Megan Thee Stallion also hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with her debut studio album, “Good News.”
For pop stars such as Doja Cat, she was part of a No. 1 record as well as her “Say So” remix with Nicki Minaj reached that position. She had built up plenty of momentum for herself with her sophomore album, “Hot Pink,” which was released in November 2019. Billie Eilish has since been one of the youngest superstars in the world at 19. She took off as a star in 2019 wit her breakout hit single, “Bad Guy” and her debut album that year, “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” Taylor Swift will also hit the stage as her 2020 was epic. She scored two No. 1 albums with “Folklore” and “Evermore.”
