Recently, the Detroit Pistons landed Dennis Smith, Jr., and he’s already putting them on the map. Since the mid-2000s, the Pistons have struggled. Once upon a time, Detroit was a consistent championship contender.
In 2009, the Pistons made their final playoff appearance, until 2016, and it was a quick sweep. The Pistons have faded from relevance, since that 2016 appearance. But, this new core they have looks like they could have something.
Dennis Smith, Jr. is one of the Detroit Pistons’ newest players. Already, he is leaving his mark, as the Pistons are playing the Sacramento Kings. Just before halftime, Smith got up, dunking on the whole Kings, with Richaun Holmes and Marvin Bagley III catching most of it, setting Twitter off.
