There is a changing of the guard, in hip hop, once again. It is looking like 2021 will usher in new stars, while emerging stars will take hold. This makes 2021 resemble 2015, in many ways.
Yung Bleu is one of these emerging artists, who appears to be taking over the game. As with every other artist, this past decade, the Drake co-sign is helping him along. The two aligned for “You’re Mines Still,” a major hit single.
Recently, Tory Lanez continued his tradition of remaking hit records, this time doing Yung Bleu’s “You’re Mines Still.” He did it, though, without Yung Bleu’s permission, so he blasted him, filed a copyright claim to get his song pulled, but his own receipts were pulled. A series of Facebook statuses showed Bleu being accused of stealing a song from Kota C The Great.
