Every time Rockstar Games rolls out a new Grand Theft Auto edition, it is a huge moment. The last time such a moment took place was 2013. Anticipation was high for Grand Theft Auto V, and it lived up to the hype.
Returning to Los Santos, one of three cities in the classic Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, this time the life of Franklin (Shawn Fonteno) was followed. In 2016, Fonteno spoke to Hip-HopVibe.com about the game. The role would make him into a legend.
Grand Theft Auto V has become one of the highest-selling forms of entertainment of all-time. The sales have gone way beyond that of a video game, selling 140 million copies, since its release. Since May of 2020, the game has sold 10 million copies, with last year being the highest sales the game has had since its 2013 debut.
