In Baton Rouge, there is a vibrant hip hop scene, filled with many young rappers going viral. Of course, back in the day, it was Boosie putting the city on the map. A decade ago, it was Kevin Gates doing his thing.

NBA Youngboy is the leader of the current Baton Rouge generation. The past five years have seen him drop many hit records. This span of time saw him go from a local rapper to a major star.

Ramon “Rico” Forbes is a person nearly every Baton Rouge happens to have in common, and all of the locals know the “Rico drop that sh*t” drop, knowing the record will be a hit. On Facebook, an artist announced his death, coming into his studio and finding him dead. The news went viral, on Facebook, and his family was contacted, learning he died of a heart attack, and no foul play was involved.
