Five years ago, Silento was the biggest sensation, in the game. Despite his success, the young man was still pursuing his education. A rising star, he had Jermaine Dupri backing him, and he’s well-known for making stars.
Silento took a little time off, but was preparing to launch a comeback. While he didn’t stop making music, he didn’t release much of it. That lapse in time led to fans moving on from him.
Unfortunately, Silento is back in the headlines, in a big way, but for all of the wrong reasons. This afternoon, Silento was arrested for murder. He was in DeKalb County, Georgia, where he was charged in the shooting death of Frederick Rooks, aged 34, who was his cousin.
