Tory Lanez States That He Has Evidence Proving His Innocence in Megan Thee Stallion Shooting Case and Requests That Protective Order Against Him Be Modified After Megan Spoke on Rumors That Charges Against Him Were Dropped Last Week

Last week, Megan Thee Stallion took to Twitter to vent her frustrations regarding rumors that she allegedly dropped her charges against Tory Lanez. She felt that people didn’t care about the trauma she is going through with the case as well losing family members.

“AT THIS POINT IM GETTING ANNOYED ! STOP BELIEVING EVERYTHING YOU READ ON THE MF INTERNET. Imagine how I feel waking every day seeing people LIE and turn my trauma into a joke ? That whole team figures out ways to create doubt with my story every week and the media eats it up.”

According to legal documents obtained by Hip-HopVibe.com, Lanez reportedly has evidence from the prosecution and eye witnesses that supports his claim that he is innocent in this case and did not shoot the Houston rapper. Lanez also believes that the protective order prevented him from being able to release evidence that supports his case.

“Evidence provided to the defense by the prosecution in discovery contains forensic and scientific reports, as well as statements of independent third-party eyewitnesses, which directly contradict the statements of Megan P. concerning the incident.”

Lanez was also hit with a protective order on  which forces him to stay away from Megan in-person prevents him from interacting with her online. He is asking that this be modified now after there being many incorrect reports being made available to the public

“A protective order was issued on November 18, 2020 prohibiting Mr. Peterson from disclosing the contents of the prosecution’s evidence and prohibiting Mr. Peterson’s counsel from disclosing the contents of the prosecution’s evidence outside the legal process.

The inflammatory information transmitted in Megan P’s tweets was quickly picked up by mainstream media publications. Due to the limitations placed on Mr. Peterson and his counsel under the protective order, Mr. Peterson has been unable to respond to Megan P’s inflammatory statements to provide his own clarifying statements.

In light of Megan P.’s recent tweets and the public attention to this matter, Mr. Peterson asks that this Court modify the protective order as it relates to him, his counsel and/or his representatives.”

The next court hearing is scheduled to take place on February 25. Lanez was originally charged with felony assault for the case back in October but plead not guilty in mid-November.

At this point, Lanez has also been very consistent with his music releases as he put out his ‘Loner‘ album in November which contained appearances from Lil Wayne, Melii Swae Lee, and more. The Toronto rapper was recently seen filming the music video for “Big Tipper” feat. Wayne and Melii.
