Yesterday on social media, there was a lot of rumors that a Future-Travis Scott Verzuz would happen. This is after Timbaland’s manager reportedly said that this is in the works. That soon got leaked to Clubhouse.
“Timbaland’s manager says they’re working on a Travis Scott & Future Verzuz battle,” said @CmplxAmbition on Twitter. “Gary Marella said it on Clubhouse today, also said Verzuz is working on doing another Sport collaboration and Comedy.”
Now, as much as fans would want this huge matchup, it doesn’t appear that this will happen. One of Future’s managers, A Saleh, took to Twitter to say that he loves Verzuz but this battle happening isn’t true.
Marella has also since spoken out to Complex about the Future-Travis Scott speculation. He explained that no conversations have been had yet regarding this Verzuz.
“Someone mentioned that pairing on Clubhouse along [with] 3-4 other wishlist pairings they would like to see. I simply said we will do what we can to make them happen. We’ve had no conversations [with] Travis or Future yet.”

The next Verzuz is Ashanti-Keyshia Cole on January 21. This is after it was postponed multiple times over the past month, as this began when Ashanti tested positive for COVID-19. Now, things still seem like they’re a go.
