Currently, Houston has a stranglehold on the rap game. A lot of rappers, from the city, have emerged, and Erica Banks is the latest one. She is currently the hottest rapper in the game, but she’s been grinding for a while.
Erica Banks actually dropped “Buss It,” during the summer of 2020. The song became a viral hit, but then came and went. Late in December, “Buss It” re-emerged, and the #BussItChallenge is 2021’s top trending topic, so far.
For all of the success Erica Banks has had, with “Buss It,” there was one thing she hadn’t done. Last week, Erica Banks signed with Warner Records, becoming a major label artist. She adds to that, now, being a Billboard-charting artist, as “Buss It” enters the Billboard Hot 100.
