In his career, Drake is used to setting records and making history. Out the gate, Drake signing to Young Money gave the label legitimacy it never had. Previously, the label was viewed as Lil Wayne’s vanity project.
Drake began to immediately drop hits and was instantly crowned as the second coming. Unlike most, Drake lived up to the hype and kept dropping hits. The only year he didn’t dominate was 2017, a year he intentionally took off.
Many are beginning to say Drake has had the most-successful career in rap. Honestly, these people just might be right, as Drake is going on his eleventh year, and still going strong. Adding to his run, Drake reached 50 billion Spotify streams, the first artist of any genre to do so.
