It’s been almost two weeks since the terrorist supporters of Donald Trump stormed the Capitol building in Washington, D.C. This was in a failed attempt to prevent Joe Biden’s electoral votes from being certified. There has since been great points of how there was barely any police presence there compared to Black Lives Matter protests.
There has also been many arrests made all over the country by law enforcement in tracking down people who were storming the Capitol that day. One of the latest news is how Richard Barnett, who broke into Nancy Pelosi’s office and took her mail, can return home until he stands trial on charges for entering with a stun gun, disorderly conduct, and theft.
Meek Mill, who’s always vocal about injustices in America, is now sounding off about this decision. He is speaking the truth on how Black people would be treated much differently by the system in this situation.
“My whole race in jail for tryna protect themselves or some petty drugs! We living in the middle of a silent war! You can run in the state capitol and get house arrest? just pay attention to that part …ain’t no protest that can fix that! We have no protection in the system as black folks and it’s not no telling what’s next!!!! Didn’t people die in that shit ….we would of had conspiracy to terrorism or something they made up….Y’all people are really on some KKK SHIT!”
Meek is preaching what a lot of people are in this country. What white supremacists are able to get away with, Black people would be jailed immediately. The Philadelphia rapper continues to use his platform to shed light on these issues and has done a great job of it.
