Back on January 4, Dr. Dre was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. This was for a brain aneurysm he was dealing was as he was taken into ICU care. He originally suffered the aneurysm at his Pacific Palisades home. Dre took to Instagram a day later though to reveal that he was doing well and receiving excellent care.
This news was a scare for hip-hop fans everywhere but now, more great updates continue to come out of L.A. for Dre. According to TMZ, Dre was released from the hospital on Friday. He was in the ICU until Wednesday and then placed into a private room. Doctors there still don’t know what caused the brain aneurysm though as he will continue to be treated at home for the next few weeks.
Now, the questions that everyone want to know is if Dre will suffer any long-term effects from the brain aneurysm. TMZ cited how these aneurysms usually end up in death half of the time so the west coast legend is definitely lucky to have made it through this situation.
