Lil Baby has been giving back to communities for the holidays as his latest gesture was throwing a birthday party for the late George Floyd’s daughter in Atlanta this month. Now, he is launching a giveaway that will be helping Birmingham, AL children stay warm this winter.

According to HipHopDX, Baby’s The Bigger Picture initiative is giving away 1,000 coats to underprivileged children and adults in Birmingham. Last month, Baby revealed that he made $1.5 million from his “The Bigger Picture” single this year and wanted to donate the funds to where it’s needed. This will occur at the Winter Warm Wishes Coat Giveaway on December 28.

“I’m so excited that rapper Lil Baby has chosen to support Birmingham’s District 9 communities,” said John Hilliard, Birmingham City Councilor in a statement. “With COVID-19’s critical impact on our communities, I find it honorable that someone with his influence would provide such an essential resource to our residents. He is setting an amazing example for our youth. I want to thank him for his willingness to come to Birmingham and spread kindness during these unprecedented times.”

Shout out to Baby for continuing to use his platform to bring positive change to communities. As far as his The Bigger Picture single, it is nominated for two GRAMMYs next month in the Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance categories.
