The later seasons of “Power” saw Michael Rainey, Jr. take on a bigger role, with the show. Rainey’s Tariq began acting out, due to his father, Ghost (Omari Hardwick) abandoning their family. Finding out about his dad’s real job, Tariq began to interfere.
Fans were initially ignored, when Tariq began hanging out with Kanan (50 Cent), predicting he would get killed. Instead, Tariq’s actions got his sister, Raina (Donshea Hopkins) killed. Tariq became the one people loved to hate, which he told HHV all about, in 2018.
Recently, Michael Rainey, Jr. spoke to Ebro and Rosenberg, on Hot 97, discussing “Power: Book II.” On this series, Rainey’s Tariq is playing the lead role, acting alongside Mary J. Blige and Method Man. He spoke to them about 50 Cent, Method Man, and the “Power: Book II” series.
