The Weeknd Shockingly Receives Zero Nominations For 2021 GRAMMYS

The nominations for the 2021 GRAMMYS were revealed today and there were some snubs as well as some exciting announcements such as Pop Smoke and Megan Thee Stallion being nominate here for the first time. One shocking piece of information though is The Weeknd receiving no nominations.

The Weeknd has arguably had the biggest 2020 out of every artist. In March, he released his fourth studio album, ‘After Hours.’ This debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart ever being recommended not to put it out at that time due to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

After Hours also contained two No. 1-charting singles in “Blinding Lights” and “Heartless.” Blinding Lights has also been on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 40 weeks now which makes it the longest running top 10 hit in Hot 100 history. Heartless has since gone 2x platinum and Blinding Lights 6x platinum.

The Weeknd also took home three wins at the American Music Awards last weekend. Many music fans have since been shocked that the Toronto superstar wasn’t nominated for any GRAMMYs. This is all while showing why he is still one of the best artists in the world.
