Prior to Pop Smoke’s murder in February, he was heading to stardom. He released his ‘Meet The Woo 2‘ mixtape which was led by hits such as “Christopher Walking” and “Shake The Room” featuring Quavo. His posthumous debut studio album, Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon,’ was then released on July 3 and had a great opening week.

The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and did so again in October. It has since been certified platinum by the RIAA in the US as well. Now, Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon has reached another impressive 2020 milestone.

According to Chart Data, it is now the second best selling album of the year in the US by total units. This passes The Weekend’s ‘After Hours,’ which has seen amazing success this year. After Hours was the No. 1 album in the country and is also at 4x platinum status.

Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon was led by the first single, “Make It Rain,” feat. Rowdy Rebel. Other huge records from this project are “Something Special,” “For The Night” feat. DaBaby and Lil Baby, and “The Woo” feat. 50 Cent and Roddy Ricch.
