Despite both Jeezy and Gucci Mane talking about no longer having beef with anyone, both would act funny when the other’s name came up. Clearly, fans believed Jeezy and Gucci Mane would never end their beef. But, 2020 has been a year where anything can happen.
Coming into 2020, nobody saw Gucci Mane and Jeezy reuniting to perform “So Icy.” Fewer saw Gucci telling Jeezy he had much respect for him, after the performance. A huge moment for hip hop, they left, together, and hosted the afterparty.
After the Verzuz, Jeezy talked to Hot 97, where he spoke to both Ebro and Rosenberg. The interview began with Jeezy running down his history with Gucci Mane and how they came to do the Verzuz. He explained the beef, and the Verzuz, discussing “So Icy,” Freddie Gibbs, and his meeting with Joe Biden.
