SZA is still one of the best R&B/soul artists in the industry. The TDE artists began to experience stardom following the release of her 2017 debut studio album, ‘Ctrl.’ This project was led by hits such as “The Weekend,” “Love Galore” featuring Travis Scott, and “Broken Clocks.”

The fan reaction to Ctrl was very strong as it debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. Today, it currently stands at 2x platinum by the RIAA in the US. Now, the album has achieved another huge accomplishment in the three and a half years since its release.

Ctrl now becomes the longest-charting debut album by a Black female artist in Billboard 200 history. This is after reaching 177 consecutive weeks. In September, she released her new “Hit Different” single featuring Ty Dolla $ign. That was also well received by fans on social media as it debuted at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Earlier this year, she had another hit with “The Other Side” that also included Justin Timberlake. This record appeared on the Trolls World Tour soundtrack.
