Tekashi 6ix9ine has definitely been one of the most controversial figures in hip-hop over the last two years. He took off as a star in 2018 with the success of his hit single, “GUMMO.” His debut studio album, ‘DUMMY BOY,’ was released at the end of November but that was a week and a half after being taken into federal custody on racketeering charges.

6ix9ine remained in prison and was finally sentenced in December 2019 to two years. He was luckily given credit for time served. He was able to get out early this past April due to COVID-19 concerns and was able to stay home until his sentence was officially over in August, which included house arrest Now, a docu-series is officially on the way which tells the story of 6ix9ine before the fame. This docuseries is titled “Supervillian” and will air on Showtime sometime in early 2021.

“In the world we live in, nice guys don’t go anywhere,” said 6ix9ine in the trailer. “I will build my own f*cking world. I want my world to look like it’s on fire. I’m destroying anything that’s in my way. F*ck being a superhero, I wanna be a villain.”

6ix9ine has since remained very quiet on social media since the release of his sophomore album, ‘Tattle Tales,’ last month. It sold 53,000 units and debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart. It was led by hit singles such as “GOOBA,” “YAYA,” and the No. 1 single, “TROLLZ,” featuring Nicki Minaj. 6ix9ine’s attorney, Lance Lazzaro, has since shut down speculation that he recently overdosed on caffeine and weight loss pills.
