Tory Lanez was once loved by the music industry, especially back in April. At the time, he was making noise on social media with his “Quarantine Radio” show where he’d bring on celebrity guests and also have women twerk. That month, he also released his ‘The New Toronto 3′ mixtape, which did huge numbers and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Things came crashing down for Lanez in July when he was reported to be the one who shot Megan Thee Stallion after a house party in Hollywood Hills, CA. Megan went on to say in late August on Instagram live that Lanez was the shooter. Since then, he released his ‘Daystar‘ album on September 25 to deny being guilty but many didn’t believe him and canceled him even more.
Last week, Lanez was charged for his alleged involvement in the shooting as he faced one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and one count of carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. These are all felonies. The L.A. County D.A.’s Office added that Lanez “inflicted great bodily injury” to Megan.
Lanez went on to say that these are charges but not a conviction. Now, he appears to be considering bringing Quarantine Radio back. He just posted a few photos of himself on Instagram with the caption “QUARANTINE QUARANTINE QUARANTINE 🍾❤️🤣” Many people in the comments said they want to see him bring the show back while others believe he should remain canceled.
