Summer Walker has been one of the most dominant R&B artists ever she took off with her breakthrough single, “Girls Need Love,” in 2018. At the start of 2019, she put Drake on the remix which elevated the popularity of this record even more. It went on to appear on her debut studio album, ‘Over It,’ that fall as well which has since gone platinum.

Walker was also nominated for ‘Top Female R&B Artist’ at the Billboard Music Awards tonight. She scored this win as Lizzo and Beyoncé, who are two of the biggest stars in the world right now.

Walker’s latest project was her ‘Life On Earth‘ EP back in July. This was positively received by fans as it contained five tracks with features from NO1-Noah and PartyNextDoor. “My Affection,” which featured Party, even appeared on former President Barack Obama’s summer 2020 playlist. At this point, fans are waiting on Walker to release her sophomore album, which is expected to do just as well as Over It did.
