Last weekend on ‘Saturday Night Live,’ Megan Thee Stallion performed “Savage” and in the middle of it, called out Kentucky Attorney General, Daniel Cameron. She played quotes from Malcolm X and also from Tamika D. Mallory where she said how Cameron is no different than the “sellout negroes that sold our people into slavery.”
Cameron recently appeared on Fox News where he addressed Megan’s performance and addressed how it doesn’t bother him. He explained that this is what he’s been used to since a Black Republican in college. Cameron also said that Megan tried to paint a narrative that wasn’t true.
Cameron also said that in the Breonna Taylor case, he was doing this job. Two weeks ago, no charges were handed to the Louisville police officers who killed her at her home on March 13.
Protesters have since appeared in front of Cameron’s home to demand justice, which sadly did not end up happening. The officers involved in this case are Jonathan Mattingly, Brett Hankison, and Myles Cosgrove of the Louisville Metro Police Department. Hankison was only hit with three counts of wanton endangerment but that wasn’t even related to the Taylor case. He has since pleaded not guilty.
