Roddy Ricch had a huge breakout year in 2019 with the success of his debut studio album, ‘Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial’ and his record-breaking hit single, “The Box.” The Box currently stands at 7x platinum status in the US and the album is at the platinum mark.

Now, The Box continues to bring even more massive numbers for Ricch. According to Chart Data, it has now reached over 1 billion Spotify streams and this is his first song to do so. The Box recently departed from the Billboard Hot 100 chart but nonetheless, no one can deny the epic success it’s experienced since its release in December 2019.

As far as when we can finally expect new music from Ricch in 2020, he said on Instagram at the end of August that his sophomore album is “coming soon as f*ck.” Once this project is finally out, expect The Box to return to posting huge numbers again as well.
