This weekend, the Twitter world got a good laugh, but this one is all in good fun. All of this started when a woman decided to share her day with social media. Over the past decade, Toronto has risen in stature, and is now a popular destination.
Toronto is one of the fastest-growing cities in the world and making most people think twice about those Canada jokes. Most have thought twice about Canada jokes. Not everyone is thinking twice about Canada jokes, though.
A woman, @Konyjenn was in Toronto, downtown at Dundas Square, and shared the photos on Twitter. Another woman, @tavajiia, quoted the tweet, commenting “Downtown Canada wanna be Times Square so bad,” leading to her getting roasted. Suddenly, Twitter was petty enough to know geography to come for this woman.
