A horrific story in Minnesota has made headlines, about a little boy being abused by his teacher. These kinds of stories often make the news, but this one is particularly heartbreaking. Speaking on his behalf is the boy’s uncle, Ronald Lindsey.

The teacher in question is Geraldine Cook, a former second grade teacher, from Roseville, Minnesota. Currently facing a lawsuit, Cook no longer works as a teacher. According to Cook’s daughter, she now works in a physical therapy clinic.

Geraldine Cook was accused of forcing black students to segregate from the rest of the class, sitting by themselves. She also forced them to keep their arms behind their backs, as if they were arrested. But, in the case of Lindsey’s nephew, she actually choked him, and the school is accused of trying to conceal this information from the boys mother, which is the basis of their lawsuit.
