On Thursday afternoon, Tory Lanez finally broke his social media silence and said he would speak about the buzz surrounding him and Megan Thee Stallion shooting from July. He claimed that he would speak at 9PM PT but not exactly on what platform. Many assumed Instagram Live but that has not been the case.
Instead, Tory has released a new album titled “Daystar,” which is his first name. This has been put out on SoundCloud and other streaming services as he is now addressing all of the speculation on this project. It contains 17 tracks in total with a feature from Yoko Gold. He immediately starts discussing Megan and her claims of him being the one who shot her on the intro, “Money Over Fallouts.” Throughout this project, he constantly denies any wrongdoing.
Tory’s previous project was his “The New Toronto 3” mixtape in April which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. It’ll be interesting to see how this project does streaming-wise on SoundCloud as many people have been cancelling him since the incident in July. He was initially charged with a felony for carrying a concealed weapon inside a vehicle. The LAPD is also considering hitting him with a felony assault charge related to the Megan shooting.
