Lil Durk is one of the hottest rappers in the game right now as he’s riding a lot of momentum from his “3 Headed Goat” single featuring Lil Baby and Polo G along with his appearance on Drake’s “Laugh Now Cry Later” single. 3 Headed Goat has since been certified gold and Laugh Now Cry Later ended up debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Durk is planning to release his sixth studio album, “The Voice,” in October and also has a self-titled single out. This comes after releasing his “Just Cause Y’all Waited 2″ album in May. 3 Headed Goat appeared on this project as it did very well in regards to sales as it debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.
In the meantime, the Chicago rapper is feeling very confident about himself as he recently took to Instagram to say he is the No. 1 rapper in his city in 2020. Durk did admit that back in 2012, he was ranked No. 30. That was when he was still on his grind and way before the release of his debut studio album, “Remember My Name,” in 2015. He also shouted out the late Juice WRLD in his post, who passed away in December 2015 and was also from Chicago.
Over the past month, Durk has also been feuding with Tekashi 6ix9ine after he allegedly dissed 6ix9ine on Laugh Now Cry Later. 6ix9ine was soon in Chicago and trolled Lil Reese and apparently Durk as well by saying he was paying homage to his cousin who was shot and killed in the city.
