Will Smith Gets Together With ‘The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air’ Cast On 30th Anniversary Of The Premiere of The Show; Reunion Special on HBO Max is Coming and Smith Buries Beef With Janet Hubert

Wednesday marked 30 years since the premiere of ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ on NBC. The reunion special with the cast members is set to take place this fall. Will Smith shared photos on Instagram as well in preparation for this.

Smith was pictured with Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton Banks), Tatyana Ali (Ashley Banks,) Karyn Parsons (Hilary Banks), Joseph Marcell (Geoffrey the butler), Daphne Maxwell Reid (The second Aunt Vivian), and DJ Jazzy Jeff (Jazz). Surprisingly, Janet Hubert was also pictured with Smith. The two have had issues with each other since the filming of Fresh Prince but now, they have finally buried the hatchet. One cast member who was not there was James Avery, who played the role of Uncle Phil. He died on New Year’s Eve in 2013.

“Today is exactly 30 YEARS since The @FreshPrince of Bel-Air debuted!” said Smith excitingly on Instagram. “So we’re doin’ something for y’all… a for real Banks Family Reunion is comin’ soon to @HBOmax! RIP James. #FreshPrince30th

Fans are excited about the reunion special coming this fall. However, they are especially excited about Smith and Hubert being friendly with each other now. Reid came in place of Hubert in 1993 to take on the Aunt Viv role. She did well but critics appeared to be bigger fans of Hubert on set. Nonetheless, this reunion will be epic and it’s amazing that one of the best television shows in history is still being celebrated 30 years later.
