Tory Lanez has been getting cancelled all over social media since July after reports that he was the one who shot Megan Thee Stallion in the feet following a house party in Hollywood Hills in July. Last month, Megan also got on Instagram Live to say that he was the one who committed this crime. Now, it appears that Lanez may be admitting his guilt, according to previous text messages to Megan.
TMZ reports that Lanez sent Megan a text message apologizing and explaining that he was too drunk. Nothing was mentioned of him shooting her, though. The text messages were sent on July 12.
“I know u prolly never gone talk to me again, but I genuinely want u to know I’m sorry from the bottom of my heart. I was just too drunk. None the less s**t should have never happened and I can’t change what did. I just feel horrible. Cuz I genuinely just got too drunk.”
Megan supposedly never replied to Lanez regarding the text messages. Lanez recently spoke out privately to HotNewHipHop about denying that his streams have fallen by 40% since Megan claimed that he was the shooter. At the time of the shooting, he was charged with possession of a concealed weapon that was found inside a vehicle. An argument supposedly ensued and when Megan left the car that she was in with Lanez and another woman, she was shot from the back. The L.A. County D.A. is still considering hitting the Toronto rapper with a charge of felony assault with a firearm.
