Big Sean’s ‘Detroit 2’ Now Projected To Become No. 1 Album in The Country Over Tekashi 6ix9ine’s ‘Tattle Tales’ By Huge Margin

Both Tekashi 6ix9ine and Big Sean released new albums last week in a competitive day of music. 6ix9ine’s project was his sophomore album, ‘Tattle Tales,’ while Sean had his ‘Detroit 2‘ album. In the early projections, 6ix9ine was aiming for 150,000 units but this is very far from where the numbers stand at now.

According to Chart Data, Tattle Tales is on pace for 40,000-50,000 units in its first week. Detroit 2 is heading for an impressive 100,000-110,000. 6ix9ine’s album is led by the singles “GOOBA,” “YAYA,” “P*NANI,” the and the previous Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single, “TROLLZ,” featuring Nicki Minaj. Detroit 2’s singles were “Deep Reverence” featuring the late Nipsey Hussle and “Harder Than My Demons.”

Over the weekend, 6ix9ine complained that streaming services haven’t promoted Tattle Tattles the way they have with other music releases last week. He added that he just wants a fair shot and this has nothing to do with other artists but the services act like he didn’t drop anything. Many expected Detroit 2 to go No. 1 initially though due to the anticipation of Sean’s first album in three years.
