Rihanna is still recognized as one of the best artists in the world as await for her highly anticipated ninth studio album. It’s rumored to be titled ‘R9’ but Rih hasn’t fully confirmed this. She has spoken out though saying that she is recording new music and fans will like what they hear.
Rihanna continues to build an empire with business ventures such as Fenty Beauty makeup, Savage X Fenty lingerie, and Fenty Skin for skincare. She’s accomplished a lot of epic things in her career and now, a documentary about her is in the works.
According to Collider, Amazon will be behind this documentary as it is planning to be released next summer. It will be out sometime close to the Fourth of July. Peter Berg will serve as director.
“The Rihanna doc is something I’ve been working on with her for almost four years now,” he said. “Amazon’s gonna release it summer next year, sometime hopefully around the Fourth of July. It’s been a really epic journey, the past four years with her.”
Berg also notes that the documentary is taking a bit longer to release due to the myriad of business ventures that Rihanna continues to make. The goal though is for it to finally be completed in the spring of next year.
“She’s a remarkable woman, who everyday seems to grow and branch out into new businesses and new endeavors at a rate that it’s almost hard to keep up with,” he said. “So every time we think we’re going to finish the movie and put it out, she does something like start a fashion line like Fenty, or her lingerie line, or her skin care line. She’s firing on all cylinders, she’s making new music now and she’s having so much success in business and she’s such an entrepreneur that we’re letting it grow, but we are gonna try and close it up in the spring and release it in the summer.”
With the release of the Rihanna documentary, the long-awaited could be out in 2021 as well. Hopefully, that will be the case as fans have been waiting since she released her ‘Anti’ album in January of 2016.
