Though friends with Ari (?), and well-known in the hip hop industry, Gigi, aka Lord Gisselle, is not black. Though Latinx people are rarely referred to as this, she is an ally. Definitely, being a minority, she is a part of the struggle, but most don’t agree with her latest move.
Gigi is a hot commodity, in the game, and that sometimes gives people extra confidence. This confidence does not always bring out the best in people. Instead, they feel the freedom to be their absolute worst selves, in some instances.
Unfortunately, for Gigi, aka Lord Gisselle, is that her worst qualities came out, on her IG Live. She got into an argument with a gay man and called him all kinds of homophobic slurs, and then she repeatedly said the “n-word.” Despite being called racist, she kept saying it, and then said “Black Lives Matter,” leading to Twitter backlash.
