One of Pop Smoke’s First Breakout Singles, “Dior,” Goes 2x Platinum

Pop Smoke first generated buzz for himself in the summer of 2019 with the two singles, “Welcome To The Party” and “Dior.” Both began to experience success simultaneously as they appeared on his ‘Meet The Woo’ mixtape. Welcome To The Party received separate remixes with Skepta and Nicki Minaj. Dior’s remix had Gunna on it on Smoke’s ‘Meet The Woo 2’ mixtape this past February.

Dior continues to be a fan-favorite of the late Brooklyn rapper and has now gained another plaque. It has now been certified 2x platinum by the RIAA, according to Chart Data. This is after accumulating 2 million units in sales.

Smoke’s memory as been celebrated heavily since his death along with this summer. In July, his posthumous debut studio album, ‘Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon,’ was released. It debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and went platinum the same month. July 20 was also celebrated as Pop Smoke Day in Brooklyn, which was also his birthday. He would’ve been 21-years-old.
