Megan Thee Stallion has had another strong year for herself. She released her ‘Suga’ EP in March which was led by the “B.I.T.C.H.” single as this sampled 2Pac’s 1996 “Ratha Be Ya N*gga” song. When the EP was out, she had another huge record on her hands with “Savage.”

Over a month later, Megan dropped the remix which featured fellow Houston superstar, Beyoncé. This went on to become the No. 1 song in the country. Tonight at the VMAs, Savage was recognized for its success as well.

Savage took home the award for “Best Hip-Hop.” Other nominees int his category included Roddy Ricch’s “The Box,” DaBaby’s “BOP,” Travis Scott’s “Highest In The Room,” “Godzilla” by Eminem and Juice WRLD, and “Life Is Good” by Future featuring Drake. In addition to this win, Megan is also part of the No. 1 song in the country right now on Cardi B’s “WAP” single.
