The Weeknd has made some very generous charitable moves to do his part in helping the world in 2020. He’s donated $500,000 to organizations fighting for social justice such as Colin Kaepernick’s Know Your Rights Camp, $1 million for COVID-19 relief, and $350K for Tik Tok’s Equal Justice Initiative.

Now, the Toronto superstar is continuing his amazing humanitarian efforts. According to TMZ, The Weeknd has just donated $300,000 to help relief following the explosion in Beirut, Lebanon last week. This donation will be going to Global Aid For Lebanon.

The funds will be sent to World Food Programme, the Lebanese Red Cross and the country’s Children’s Center. Weeknd’s manager Wassim “Sal” Slaiby, and Slaiby’s wife, Rima Fakih, have been working together to make this happen.

“I am so honored and humbled to work with artists who have such deep care for the world and right now for our brothers & sisters of Lebanon who are in pain and need our collective help,” said Slaiby.

Salute to The Weekd for always using his position to help others who need help in life. Hopefully, the people of Beirut bounce back stronger from this tragedy.
