When he came into the game, Waka Flocka Flame was one of the hottest new rappers in the game. Entering as Gucci Mane’s right-hand man, Waka came as Gucci was riding high. Though not reaching the mainstream heights he since has, Gucci owned the streets.
Waka Flocka Flame, meanwhile, racked up huge features, and quickly became a household name. The Atlanta rapper immediately was one of the hottest rappers out. In 2012, he dropped Triple F Life, what would become his final album, as he never wanted to be a rapper.
Since 2014, Waka Flocka Flame has done reality TV, beginning with his wife, Tammy Rivera, on “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.” After doing three years, there, Waka and Tammy resurfaced on “Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta,” and now have their own spinoff. Sitting down with N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN, Waka spoke on his music, mental health, Desiac Liquer, and much more.
