Pop Smoke’s murder case is moving closer to achieving justice as last week, four suspects were arrested in connection to this case. These were two adults and two teens. The adults may be facing the death penalties in their murder cases.

Smoke’s case lingers for months as LAPD couldn’t get potential witnesses due to people refusing to speak or simply giving out false information. Now, they’re revealing how this was finally handled. According to TMZ, the LAPD’s detectives used video footage from local citizens and businesses near the Hollywood Hills mansion that Smoke was killed at.

Sources added that LA street gang members may have played a role in this murder. In the end, police believe that Smoke was a victim of a botched robbery as the rapper showed his address on Instagram which was displayed on an Amiri bag. Despite the arrests, LAPD says that the investigation is still ongoing to gain more evidence.

Smoke’s team also released his posthumous debut studio album, ‘Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon’ on July 3. Last week, it became the No. 1 album in the country with 248,000 units sold in its first week. It was also the biggest posthumous debut at the time since Michael Jackson in 2009. The deluxe edition is expected to be released tonight at midnight.
