On Tuesday, 87 protestors were arrested as they peacefully stood and sat in front of Kentucky Attorney General, Daniel Cameron’s home in Louisville, KY. This is the same city where Breonna Taylor was shot eight times in her home as three cops mistook her home for a nearby drug house that they were looking for. The suspects were already in custody by the time they arrived in Taylor’s home.
Many celebrities showed up to this protest such as ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta‘ star Porsha Williams, ‘Love and Hip-Hop New York’ star Yandy Smith, rappers YBN Cordae and Trae Tha Truth, and NFL Wide Receiver Kenny Stills. They were all arrested including the other protestors for trespassing. Williams was seen with Taylor’s mother after her arrest taking a photo with her.
Now, Williams and Trae have revealed that one of their three charges has sadly been upgraded to a felony, which is intimidating a participant in the legal process. Both took to their social media feeds to express their disgust with AG Cameron, as they rightfully should. He is quick to do this but not arrest his corrupt officers who commit murders of black women in their sleep.
“Wow @danieljaycameron you really took the time to upgrade 1 out of 3 of our charges to FELONY??” asked Williams. “This is disgusting …. meanwhile not one peep about this botched investigation of Breonna Taylors MURDER!!!
“U got a lot of time on yo hands to enhance our charges and even celebrate yo engagement party,” added Trae. “But no time for #BreonnaTaylor killers to be arrested.”
Hopefully, all of these charges get dropped. There’s no reason for peaceful protesters to get treated like this. Check out Trae Tha Truth and Porsha Williams addressing this felony charge below.
