An old tweet has resurfaced by pop singer Normani and went viral as users ask about her album. The 24-year old is the former member of the Award-winning girl group Fifth Harmony and she decided to go solo last year after dropped her first solo single, “Motivation,” which peaked in the top 40. Normani then followed up with an incredible music video that generated plenty of hype as she showed off her prestigious dancing skills, followed by a spectacular performance at the VMA’s just a few weeks later.

After this, she seemed to have vanished.

Rumors have spread that Normani’s manager, who goes by Tunji, is blocking opportunities for her which is one of the reasons that she is unable to drop any music. A Twitter fan made a thread that exposed a private conversation they had with Tunji which shed light on several things going on with the singer. Tunji allegedly admitted to turning down interviews with HOT97 in favor of Zane Lowe, due to wanting to reach a “larger audience.” Normani was also due to collaborate with The Chainsmokers but Tunji also interfered by turning the opportunity down because it was “too pop” and they “didn’t want to market her in that way.”

The most recent decision that Normani’s manager has made on her behalf was another unique collaborative opportunity that included UK’s chart topping music artist Anne Marie, which later resulted in the manager choosing to feature Doja Cat instead on a single titled “To Be Young” which is scheduled to drop on July 17th.

“There’s so much more that I feel I have yet to accomplish.”

Normani admits during an interview with Rolling Stone after she graced the cover alongside Megan Thee Stallion and SZA.

“To put a cap on me and try to restrict me from the fullest of my capacity — me being able to explore that -just doesn’t seem fair.”

She shares as the women discuss overcoming being placed in a certain box in the music industry.

Following these accusations and more, many of her fans have been urging Normani to get out of her contract and find a new team that can manage her better. Neither Normani nor her team have yet to respond to these rumors.
