A disturbing trend is becoming more prominent, and it is something that needs to stop. People are increasingly becoming comfortable insulting people, based on their race, in public. There was a time when this wasn’t too common, but it’s on the rise, in 2020.
In Atlanta, a city lauded for being progressive, with a black mayor, and a majority-black population, the city has come a long way. The city of Atlanta was a hub, during the Civil Rights movement. Much of the fight took place there, and the city made great strides.
However, this doesn’t mean that racism doesn’t still persist, within the city. Many feel Rayshard Brooks’ murder was racially-motivated, but that’s neither here, nor there. What is, however, is this man, on camera berating black people, telling a woman “it’s not my fault you’re a n*gger,” in a viral Facebook video.
