Philadelphia Eagles Wide Receiver, DeSean Jackson, has been very creative over the last year when it comes to paying respect to some notable figures. He showed the public a pair of Nipsey Hussle cleats he got designed following his murder in Los Angeles last year and also for George Floyd, who was killed by Minneapolis PD on May 25, specifically, Derek Chauvin, who had his knee on his neck for eight minutes and 46 seconds.

Jackson is now honoring two more victims of racism and police brutality. Those are Ahmaud Arbery, who was shot and killed by two white men in Brunswick, Georgia on February 23 and Breonna Taylor, who was shot and killed three members of the Louisville Metropolitan Police Department on March 13. Jackson’s Taylor cleats display a grey and black combo with her face on it that displays her name. The Arbery cleats came in all black with his face on it and the word “Enough.”

“I stand on what’s right,” said the NFL star on Instagram. “Let’s not get caught up in the false impulsive message behind #BLM We just want fair rights !! 400 plus years …. The time is now” ✊🏾 #ahmaudarbery #breonnataylor

Arbery was racially profiled by the men while he was jogging. They chased him down in their truck as they made the false claim that there were break-ins in the area. One man recorded the incident as they have all been charged with felony murder. These men are Gregory McMichael, 64, and Travis McMichael, 34, and William Bryan, 50. Taylor was shot eight times as a result of a no-knock warrant. These type of warrants have since been banned with the new “Breonna’s Law.” None of the officers involved.
