Lil Wayne released his highly anticipated ‘Funeral’ album at the end of January and it contained 24 songs with features from Big Sean, Lil Baby, 2 Chainz, Takeoff. The deluxe edition was released this spring as it included eight additional tracks with features from Doja Cat, Tory Lanez, Lil Uzi Vert, Benny The Butcher, and Jessie Reyez.
One of the most notable songs to blow up from the Funeral project is “I Do It” feat. Big Sean & Lil Baby. It’s done very well as it reached No. 33 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It is now officially certified gold by the RIAA, according to Chart Data.
Funeral did very well overall too as it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Since the success of this project, he’s been working on his Young Money Radio show on Apple Music. He’s already brought on Drake, Nicki Minaj, Stephen A. Smith, Eminem, and more.
