Louisville rapper, Jack Harlow, has been buzzing since January with the release of his breakout hit single, “What’s Poppin.” This week, he surprised fans with a star-studded remix that featured DaBaby, Lil Wayne, and Tory Lanez. Everyone showed out but the debate was who had the best feature.
Fans of the record have mostly agreed that Tory came through with the hardest verse and Wayne agrees. Wayne had Harlow on his Young Money Radio show on Friday night and that’s where Harlow was a guest.
Harlow asked Wayne who had the best verse and Wayne confidently replied that it was Tory.
“I ain’t gon’ front, Tory went crazy,” Lil Wayne said. “I don’t wanna say I had any expectations, but I guess, I know Tory. I know the look he be wanting and I know sometimes he don’t get that look from everybody. He don’t get that ear from everybody. So when he get a good look and he get a good ear, I love that for him.”
Harlow agreed that Tory did his thing but he also asked Wayne if he heard his (Harlow’s) verse as well. Wayne replies with a simple “Mhmm.” Harlow doubled checked to see if Wayne stood on Tory having the best one and Wayne laughed while replying “I’m giving the man props!”
Everyone did their thing but Tory definitely put everyone on notice. It’s also great that a legend like Wayne admitted that someone else outshined him. Check out the remix below.
