Hurricane Chris Speaks on Murder Case Involving Shooting and Killing Man at Louisiana Gas Station Last Week; Says His Name Will Be Cleared After Good and Thorough Investigation [VIDEO]

Last Friday, “Ay Bay Bay” rapper, Hurricane Chris, was arrested for second-degree murder after shooting and killing a man at a Texaco gas station in his hometown of Shreveport, LA, per TMZ. He claims that this situation was in self-defense though. Police at the scene say that surveillance footage did not back that claim up though. He was also charged with illegal possession of stolen things involving a car that he brought in from Texas. He ended up being released on $500,000 bond.

Chris took to his Instagram feed late on Thursday night to finally address the situation as he addressed the situation as a “very unfortunate incident” and thanked everyone who prayed for the family of the deceased along with his family. He also confidently added that his name will be cleared after a good and thorough investigation. Chris also said “watch God work.”

Chris’ breakout Ay Bay Bay single released back in 2007. It peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart as it appeared on his debut studio album, ‘51/50 Ratchet.’ He went on to have another huge hit in 2009 with “Halle Berry” feat. Superstarr but has been quiet since then. He did release his “How I Feel” single in May of last year, though.
