Pop Smoke’s “Shake The Room” Single Feat. Quavo Officially Goes Gold

By Yuriy Andriyashchuk Staff Writer

Pop Smoke’s new “Make It Rain” single feat. Rowdy Rebel was released on Friday as it’s in preparation for his upcoming posthumous debut studio album that’s set to be released on July 3. It was initially set to be released yesterday but was delayed out of respect to the movement of protests addressing racism and police brutality in America, according to his manager, Steven Victor. Smoke’s team still treated fans to the Make It Rain single though, as Rebel’s verse was also provided from prison.

Prior to Smoke’s murder in Hollywood Hills on February 19, he released his ‘Meet The Woo 2‘ mixtape earlier that month. It featured the single “Christopher Walking” and also the next single,”Shake The Room” feat. Quavo. This record has been a fan-favorite since then as it has now been certified gold by the RIAA, according to Chart Data.

Smoke’s music has done very well since then as one of his 2018 breakout hit singles, “Dior,” recently went platinum. This ended up having a remix featuring Gunna on the Meet The Woo 2 project. His first huge record, “Welcome To The Party” has since been certified gold. That also featured two remixes with Nicki Minaj and Skepta.
