Fans have been anticipating the release of the late Pop Smoke’s debut studio album to be released on June 12 for a month now. They are in for some disappointment though as it has officially been pushed back due to the current movement of people bringing awareness to racism and police brutality in America, according to Smoke’s manager, Steven Victor.

The new release date for this project will be July 3. Smoke’s manager also revealed that new Pop Smoke music will be released on June 12 though as a new single will arrive titled “Make It Rain.” There will be a surprise featured artist here that has not been named yet.

“Given recent events, we have decided to delay the release of his album out of respect for the movement. “Make It Rain” will be released this Friday, June 12th. The album will be released on July 3rd. Please join us in celebrating Pop Smoke’s legacy. 💫”

Pop Smoke was shot and killed on February 19 in a Hollywood Hills mansion. Many believed that it was a targeted hit after Smoke posted his address on Instagram. which was on a bag. Earlier in that month, he released the sequel to his 2018 ‘Meet The Woo‘ mixtape. He blew up as an artist last summer with his “Welcome To The Party” single which went on to get remixes with Skepta and Nicki Minaj.
