Sadly, the death of George Floyd hasn’t been the rallying cry for all of the United States. While a majority of the nation is outraged, many people are taking it as a joke. Others say the rioting and the looting led to them withdrawing their support.

What has been jarring is the amount of local and small business owners who have no empathy, regarding the situation. These people, along with numerous people in high places at colleges and universities have been downright mean. They stop short of saying this needed to happen.

Paula McGuian is a native of Eugene, Oregon and the owner of the small business, Home Spray Foam & Installation, LLC. Despite owning a business and hoping to serve all, she delivered this mean insult. She shared a photo of herself with a knee “jokingly” on a young man’s neck, as he wears an “I Can’t Breathe” t-shirt, and she captions is “Ready for my Minnesota trip.”
